As Summer Descends is my first album. It is about the transition from summer into autumn, when the days are still warm and bright but slowly growing shorter. I wrote it exactly at that time of the year, in the late summer of 2024. And it was released when the summer of 2025 was descending.
It’s also about living the seasons, with all their beginnings and endings, much like everything in life. The two sides of the album containing 8 songs in total reflect this duality. The first half contain the brightest, peaceful songs, while the others have a touch of restlessness that comes with the transition of things.
On a more abstract level, the album captures the feeling of being in a moment that’s still wonderful but begins to fade. When you don’t want to let go because everything feels right as it is, yet you know change is coming.
